We need some cash...

While the Rapid Prototyping products are provided by the companies for free, we have some cash needs: our main expense is the RP4Baghdad centre in Iraq, where we employ a doctor and an engineer to collect the patient data.

If you plan to support us financially, please download this form or contact us by filling in this form and indicate us your commitment. Your help is greatly appreciated!

We propose the following donation amounts :

  • Donate 250$ and help us treat a patient with a head injury.
  • Donate 750$ and help us treat a patient in need of a leg prosthesis. This includes mould making, model making, transport and model fitting.

VERY IMPORTANT: Please indicate that your donation is to be used for the RP4Baghdad project.

In Belgium, this can be done by a money transfer on the account of Doctors Without Borders Belgium (Artsen Zonder Grenzen België, Médecins Sans Frontières Belgique) 000-0000060-60 - personal message: "Iraq Aman project" or online on the website of Doctors Without Borders Belgium (Dutch site - French site).

VERY IMPORTANT: In both cases please write "Iraq Aman project" in the personal message to make sure the money will be used for the RP4Baghdad project.

We provide full disclosure about the use of the donated money in the financial section.
The finances of the project are audited by PKF auditors.
All contributions to date, most of which were in-kind, went directly to the patients and the medical staff in Iraq.

 

We need new ideas and materials...

The Rapid Prototyping for Baghdad project can use a lot of help, from members and organisations inside or outside the RP industry. We need different kinds of services, and we are also open for complementary project ideas.

We have ambition to show that Rapid Prototyping can do more for people!

  • The Rapid Prototyping industry can build custom prostheses, implants and surgical tools.
  • Rapid Prototyping technologies can be combined with foundry techniques to produce Titanium implants, for example.
  • Rapid Manufacturing Limb sockets can be combined with standard prosthesis.
  • And there is so much more...
